FAQs

Does this dry herb device vaporize herbs, or does it directly combust them?

This device is designed for direct combustion, not vaporization.
What heating method does the chamber use? Is it conduction, convection, or a combination of both?

The Fluora chamber uses contact ignition heating. A high-temperature metal surface comes into direct contact with the dry herb, transferring heat through conduction until the material reaches its ignition point and combusts.
Can I pause the device mid-session and resume it later?

Yes. During use, you can press the button once to pause the device.

However, Fluora is designed for bottom-up conduction heating. If the session is paused, the combusted material and ash in the lower layer may block heat transfer to the unburned herb above, which can make re-ignition difficult or inconsistent.

For best performance and even combustion, we recommend completing the session in one continuous use whenever possible.

I'll be writing a full review for my website, but here's a quick summary.

The changes that have been made between the Flouraa and the Rivo have addressed and resolved every issue that existed in the first version.

The primary design win is the new chamber. It is 100% more reliable than the previous iteration.

The changes to the glass top are also clutch.

Overall, this is a great little device for getting really high in a short period of time.
